Built in 1885, Ghar by the Hills is a restored heritage homestay near Dharamshala. Crafted with stone, mud, and wood, and designed for travellers who want to stay a little longer than “just the weekend.” It’s peaceful, work-friendly, and community-driven. With gardens for slow mornings and balconies that turn “quick breath of fresh air” into a full-blown ritual.

- Supervision Required – Pets must be supervised at all times. Leaving them alone in the room or common areas is not allowed.
- Roam Freely, But Respectfully – Well-behaved and non-aggressive pets are welcome to roam freely around the property. We love seeing them enjoy the open space!
- Furniture Access – Your pets are welcome on beds and furniture. We just ask pet parents to ensure they don’t soil the space, and to remove fur or use covers when possible.
- Clean-Up Duty – Pet parents are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, both indoors and outdoors.
- Noise Control – Excessive barking or disruptive behaviour may disturb other guests; please help us maintain our peaceful vibe.
- Bonfire & Dining Areas – Pets are not allowed near the bonfire or inside dining areas during meal hours.
- Damage or Deep Cleaning – Any damage or extra cleaning required due to your pet may result in additional charges.
- One Paw-fect Pet Per Room (Preferably) – We allow one pet per room. Additional pets are welcome for an extra charge and must be approved in advance.
